A delegation led by Mr. Sun Yebao, Deputy Director-General of Shandong Provincial Foreign Affairs Office visited the Kingdom of Tonga from December 13 to 14, 2018. His Excellency Wang Baodong, Chinese Ambassador to Tonga met with Mr. Sun and the delegation and exchanged views on promoting friendly interactions between Shandong Province and Tonga.

During the visit, the delegation separately met with Hon. Penisimani Fifita, Minister of Education and Training and Mr. Mahe Tupouniua, Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Tonga, and visited the Tonga Institute of Higher Education and Tonga College. The two sides had in-depth discussion on strengthening China-Tonga friendship and increasing exchanges and cooperation in education and other fields between Shandong Province, Liaocheng University and Tonga.
