Chinese Embassy in Tonga Holds Workshop Marking 105th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China

On July 10, Chinese Embassy in Tonga held a workshop marking the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. H.E. Ambassador Liu Weimin delivered a keynote address. More than 50 guests attended the seminar, including Tonga’s Acting Prime Minister Hon. Viliami Latu, Members of Parliament Hon. ‘Aisake Eke, Hon. Mateni Tapueluelu, Hon. Kapeli Lanumata, Hon. Saimone Vuki, representatives from education, media sectors and friendly organizations.

Ambassador Liu elaborated on the key to the success of the CPC from four perspectives: its commitment to seeking truth and being pragmatic, its principle of putting the people first, its distinctive strengths in governance, and its commitment to building a community with a shared future for humanity. He said that China stands ready to work together with Tonga to enhance exchanges on governance experience, expand friendly cooperation, and ensure that the benefits of development reach the people of both countries.

The participating guests actively shared their views and comments, extended warm congratulations on the 105th anniversary. They spoke highly of the CPC’s outstanding leadership, its people-centered development philosophy, and the historic and remarkable achievements it has led the Chinese people to accomplish. The guests expressed their willingness to learn from and draw on China’s valuable development experience and continuously deepen the friendship between Tonga and China.
