On July 16th, 2024, The China-aid medical team Phase V  arrived in Nuku 'alofa, the capital of Tonga. Welcomed by Ms.Wu Yirong, First Secretary of Chinese Embassy to Tonga, Ms.Ana Akaula, Medical Superintendent for the Ministry of Health, and representatives from China-aid projects and local  Chinese community at the airport.

This China-aid medical team consists of six doctors, specializing in orthopedic, anesthesiology, gynecology, pathology, psychiatry and ultrasound. They will start the one-year medical aid mission as soon as possible.
