On June 20, Ambassador Liu Weimin and staff of the Chinese Embassy participated in the 2025 Olympic Day Fun Run, organized by the Tonga Sports Association and National Olympic Committee.

The event, dedicated to promoting the Olympic spirit and the values of friendship, respect, and excellence, attracted widespread participation from the Tongan community and representatives across various sectors. Ambassador Liu and his colleagues actively joined the 3km and 8km runs, and engaged warmly with officials from the Tongan Olympic Committee, fellow diplomats, athletes, and local residents.
