On May 7th, Ambassador Liu Weimin met with Tonga's Attorney General, Fuamoetu'i. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening international mediation, as well as judicial exchanges and cooperation between China and Tonga.
Ambassador Liu stated that China attaches great importance to cooperation with Tonga in the fields of law and justice. China is willing to work together with Tonga to deepen international mediation practices, promote the sharing of judicial practical experiences, and contribute to the construction of the rule of law in both countries. China has always supported the resolution of international disputes through dialogue and negotiation, and actively promotes international judicial cooperation to help build a more just and reasonable international order.
Attorney General Fuamoetu'i said that Tonga is willing to strengthen exchanges and dialogues with China, draw on China's experience, enhance the construction of its own judicial capacity, and support the resolution of international disputes through international mediation.
