Ambassador Liu Weimin called on Tonga’s Deputy Prime Minister Fusimalohi

On 5th February , H.E. Ambassador Liu Weimin called on Tonga's newly appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, as well as Minister for Meteorology, Energy, Information, Disaster Management, Environment, Communications, and Climate Change (MEIDECC), Hon. Fusimalohi. Ambassador Liu congratulated him on his new appointment and said that, in recent years, China-Tonga relations have seen steady growth with fruitful outcomes in practical cooperation. China appreciates Tonga's long-term adherence to the one-China principle, and is willing to continue deepening friendly cooperation with Tonga in various fields such as infrastructure construction, climate change, energy transformation, disaster management, communication technology and aviation service on the basis of the one-China principle, bringing more benefits to the peoples of both countries.

Hon.Fusimalohi thanked China for its support and assistance on Tonga's development, emphasizing that Tonga will continue to firmly adhere to the one-China principle and is willing to coordinate closely with China to elevate the friendship and cooperation between the two countries to a new level.
