Fire Safety and Prevention Seminar Held at Chinese Embassy in Tonga

A Fire Safety and Prevention lecture, give by Mr. Semisi Tapueluelu, Acting Deputy Fire Commissioner of Tonga Fire and Emergency Services(TFES) and his team, was held at Chinese Embassy in Tonga on Monday, December 16, 2024. Charge d'Affaires Ruan Dewen as well as the representatives from Chinese businesses and the Chinese community in Tonga attended the event.

TFES’s team briefly introduced its mission and vision, explained the knowledge on fire safety and prevention, procedure and content about fire safety inspection and fire investigation. Mr. Semisi Tapueluelu said the purpose of this event is to grow community engagement and enhance understanding between TFES and the Chinese community, so as to improve service.

Charge d'Affaires Ruan Dewen stressed that the embassy attaches great importance to the safety of overseas Chinese and Chinese business in Tonga. He thanked Mr. Semisi Tapueluelu and TFES’s team for the in-depth and easy-to-understand explanation on fire safety and prevention and looked forward to further deepening cooperation with TFES.

All the participants applauded that the lectures were rich in content and target-oriented, and would help raise awareness of fire safety and enhance fire response capabilities.
